Pengamat Pasar Uang Ariston Tjendra menyatakan nilai tukar rupiah terlihat dalam pergerakan konsolidasi mengantisipasi keputusan Bank Sentral Amerika Serikat (AS) pekan ini (Kamis 27/7) yang akan menaikkan suku bunga acuan. Menurut survei CME FedWatch Tool, probabilitas hampir 100 persen The Fed akan menaikkan suku bunganya sebesar 25 basis poin menjadi 5,25-5,50 persen.
Semalam, lanjut dia, data Purchasing Managers Index (PMI) sektor jasa AS yang disurvei oleh S&P untuk bulan Juli 2023 dirilis sebesar 52,4, lebih rendah dari ekspektasi sebesar 54,0.
kata Ariston. “Sedikit banyak ini bisa memberikan tekanan ke dolar AS karena menurunnya aktivitas sektor jasa bisa memicu The Fed melonggarkan kebijakan pengetatan moneternya,” kata Ariston.
Meninjau sentimen dari dalam negeri, hasil Rapat Dewan Gubernur (RDG) pada sore ini diperkirakan masih akan mempertahankan tingkat suku bunga acuan Bank Indonesia (BI) sebesar 5,75 persen.
“BI juga mungkin masih optimis terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi Indonesia sehingga bisa memberikan sentimen positif ke rupiah,” ucapnya.
Pada hari ini, dia memprediksi potensi penguatan rupiah ke arah Rp15.000 per dolar AS dengan potensi resisten di Rp15.050 per dolar AS.
