Bersatunews Jakarta – Usai mendarat di Kutub Selatan Bulan Badan Antariksa India atau Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) kini mulai mempersiapkan misi penjelajahan Matahari selanjutnya. Organisasi Penelitian Luar Angkasa India (ISRO) pada hari Senin mengatakan mereka akan meluncurkan observatorium luar angkasa pertamanya untuk mempelajari Matahari pada 2 September.
India nantinya akan meluncurkan Aditya-L1 pesawat luar angkasa bertenaga surya pertama di India menurut Reuters. Aditya-L1 menjalankan misi mempelajari angin matahari atau yang dikenal dengan aurora borealis yang menyebabkan gangguan di Bumi.
Nama Aditya berasal dari bahasa India yang berarti matahari. Aditya-L1 rencananya akan diluncurkan dari stasiun luar angkasa utama India di Sriharikota menggunakan kendaraan peluncuran berat PSLV. roket tersebut akan memiliki jangkauan 15 ribu kilometer. Dalam siaran persnya ISRO menyebutkan total waktu tempuh Aditya-L1 sejak diluncurkan di L-1 (titik Langrange) adalah sekitar empat bulan.
Pemerintah India juga telah mempersiapkan misi ini sejak lama. Pada tahun 2019 misi tersebut secara resmi mengumpulkan dana sebesar $46 juta. Sayangnya ISRO belum memberikan informasi terkini mengenai tahap lepas landas Aditya-L1. India mengukir sejarah dengan menjadi negara pertama yang berhasil mendaratkan pesawat ruang angkasa di dekat kutub selatan Bulan selama misi Chandrayaan 3. Misi ini juga mengukuhkan reputasi India sebagai salah satu negara terbaik di dunia yang mampu melakukan pendaratan di bulan. Hanya AS Rusia dan China yang pernah berhasil mendaratkan misi di bulan sebelumnya.
