Hasil Australian Open 2023. Jojo mengalahkan Momota untuk masuk ke posisi 16

Bersatunews. Jakarta – Jonathan Christie sukses melaju ke babak 16 besar Australia Open 2023. Jojo lolos setelah mengalahkan Kento Momota dalam pertandingan diskus. Jonathan Christie dan Kento Momota berada di babak 32 besar terakhir di Australia Terbuka.

Laga yang berlangsung pada Rabu dini hari (2/8/2023) di GOR WIB di mana Kento Momota mencetak empat poin beruntun pada set pertama. Jojo bermain imbang 4-4.

Jojo tertinggal 5-7 6-8 7-9 10-10 karena kesalahan pengembalian Jojo. Kesalahan servis Jojo membuat Momota unggul 11-10. JoJo mengejar setelah istirahat untuk memimpin 13-11.

Momota mendapatkan satu poin atas kesalahan Jojo tetapi Jojo merebut game point dengan keunggulan 13-19 setelah tertinggal 20-16. Canto mampu mematahkan imbang 20-20 21-21. Para pemain bulutangkis asal Jepang itu menyelesaikan pertandingan pertama dengan skor 23-21.

Kekuatan kedua memiliki awal yang keras. Jojo unggul 5-1 tetapi Momota menyamakan kedudukan menjadi 6-6 untuk menyamakan skor menjadi 4-5.

Dengan ini kedua tim bermain imbang 9-9. Jojo masuk ke jeda istirahat dengan keunggulan 9-11 setelah mencetak straight dan Jojo mempertahankan keunggulannya atas Momota di babak pertama untuk menjadikannya 14-11.

JoJo mempertahankan keunggulan 3 poinnya meskipun JoJo berusaha mengejarnya 19-14 JoJo memimpin 5 poin dan memenangkan game point 20-14. Juara Indonesia Masters 2023 itu menutup set kedua 21-14. Permainan cakram plastik! Memasuki set ketiga JoJo mengalahkan Kento Momota 6-1 dan mencetak 5 poin.

Performa mantap dari petenis nomor 5 dunia itu membuatnya memimpin 11 menjadi 3 pada babak pertama dan Momota mencoba mengejar tetapi Jojo memimpin 14 menjadi 7. Jojo menang 21-12 dengan match point 20-12.
